Dr. Amanda (Banes) Darnley Psy.D.
Dr. Amanda Darnley is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with more than fifteen years of experience and a deep commitment to fostering empowerment, compassion, and clarity in her therapeutic practice. She earned her Bachelor of Arts with Honors from La Salle University, followed by a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Adelphi University. She then returned to La Salle University to complete her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Dr. Darnley is licensed to practice in the state of New York and has extensive training in empirically supported treatments such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness Based Treatments, tailoring these approaches to meet the unique needs of her clients.
Dr. Darnley specializes in helping individuals who struggle with feelings of being “too much” or “not enough,” creating a nurturing space where clients feel safe and supported. Her approach to therapy is collaborative and connection-focused, often working with families, community supports, and other healthcare providers to ensure holistic care.
